Ricky Williams’ journey began on the football field, where he became one of the most celebrated players in University of Texas history, winning the 64th Heisman Trophy and leaving a legacy so lasting that the field at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium now bears his name. He went on to carve out a powerful NFL career, defined by rare talent, relentless work ethic, and a unique ability to command the game. His impact on football remains part of the sport’s history, but it was only the beginning of a much larger life story.
Mind
Even during his years as a football player, Ricky Williams was driven by a deep love of learning, earning a degree in Education from the University of Texas while continuing to explore the disciplines that would shape his life after the game. Since retiring, he has studied at the California College of Ayurveda, Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, and Pacifica, while also studying evolutionary astrology extensively under his teacher Steven Forrest. In 2021, Ricky expanded that lifelong pursuit of knowledge into technology, teaching himself to code and build apps as a new way to bring personal growth, astrology, and self-understanding to a wider audience.
Spirit
Today, Ricky continues to evolve through the two ventures he co-founded and co-owns: Lila Labs, Inc., a technology company bringing astrology and self-discovery tools to a wider audience, and Highsman, Inc., a consumer brand at the intersection of sports and cannabis. Today, he spends much of his time coding and building astrology-based apps, teaching astrology, and offering personalized sessions to those interested in investing in themselves.
